The City of Williams provides weekly curbside refuse collection. 

Residential Service

Residential - Trash Pickup Changes

The City provides residential customers with a 95-gallon container that has a serial number which is assigned to the property owner’s water meter. 20-40 yard Roll-offs are available, please call the transfer station for details. Containers are picked up once per week and must be placed at the curbside or alley on collection day by 7:00 a.m., and removed by the end of the day; Commercial accounts pick up start at 6:00 a.m., place front of can towards the street. If there is a problem with pickup it must be resolved immediately on same day, transfer station will review camera of location with issues, and possibly charge a small fee for return pick up if necessary.

All new accounts must call City Hall to set-up.

Transfer Station

Transfer Station Closed: Noon on Tuesday, 12/24 and Christmas Day, 12/25.  Will be reopen on Thursday, 12/26.

The City of Williams Transfer Station is located at Airport Road and Frank Way. Entrance is from Airport Road; exit is eastward toward the City Shop. The Transfer Station is open from Tuesday thru Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Items accepted include: household garbage, construction debris, brush, furniture, Glass bottles & Containers, appliances that contain CFC's (Freon), Tires (off rim $3/ea.) appliances and yard waste.

Items that are NOT accepted at the Transfer Station include: household hazardous waste (pesticides, turpentine, etc.); paint; anything containing asbestos; car batteries; any toxic or hazardous material. For any questions regarding the Transfer Station please call 928-635-9108.

TRASH RECYCLING CHANGES

City of Williams Recycling

Cardboard - Empty and flattened boxes. Please remove and discard styrofoam, packing peanuts and or plastic wrap before placing cardboard in recycling bin.

Paper - Magazines, newspaper, catalogs, white paper, color paper, strip cut shred paper, letters and junk mail. Please bag shredded paper in clear plastic bags. Cross cut shredded paper is not accepted.

Steel & Aluminum - Steel, tin and aluminum cans. Empty and clean paint and dry aerosol cans.

Paperboard - Dry food boxes such as cereal, cake mix, cracker, beer and soda carriers, clean pizza boxes, shoe and shirt boxes. No waxed paperboard like frozen food boxes, produce, milk and juice boxes should be recycled.

Plastics - All rigid plastics #1 thru #7. These include all soda bottles, detergent, water, shampoo bottles, milk jugs, other plastic food containers and all lids (remove lids from bottles & place in bin separately). No plastic bags, plastic wrap or Styrofoam.

GLASS & Ash (Free dump). Please do not mix glass with other recyclables. A glass recycle receptacle is available outside the transfer station gates on Rodeo Road. Glass can also be dropped off at the Material Recovery Facility, 1800 E. Butler Ave. in Flagstaff. Glass recycling bins are available at various locations in Flagstaff.
